My client is a privately held software company developing an innovative
database management application. Their founders, executives, and
directors are responsible for developing products and companies that
have made a significant impact on the IT industry and have resulted in
billions of dollars in revenue.
They are looking for an independent, enthusiastic, experienced QA
Engineer to define, develop, and lead execution of testing breakthrough
enterprise UIs. Upon joining, you would be solely responsible for
defining, writing, and executing every part of our UI QA process: from
unit testing to automated functional testing to regression testing and
beyond. The ideal candidate would be a quick learner with a strong
educational background, and a depth of experience leading the QA
process for RIAs (preferably Flex/Actionscript) using automated testing
frameworks and tools. The successful candidate will work together with
Flex/Actionscript UI developers, visual and user experience designers,
Java developers, and product managers to produce a rock-solid,
cutting-edge enterprise application. You will be part of a world-class
front-end team focused on using iterative, user-centered design to
develop an innovative, simple, and beautiful UI for our groundbreaking
database virtualization technology.
Qualifications:
* BS Computer Science
* 3+ Years Leading QA Engineering
* 3+ Years Front-end UI Testing - Such as: DHTML/JavaScript (AJAX),
Flex/Flash/Actionscript, GWT, Swing, etc.
* Experience leading and developing automated functional UI testing
(i.e. FlexMonkey, RIA Test, Selenium, QTP, etc.)
* Willingness and ability to rapidly learn testing of Flex/Actionscript
Responsibilities:
Lead definition, development, documentation, and implementation of:
* test strategy for full life cycle testing from writing test plans to
running test cases
* harnesses for execution of automated functional, unit, regression,
performance, etc. testing
* Work independently and make effective use of his/her time and be able
to handle and manage multiple tasks list with minimal supervision
* Read and understand Flex code and explain failures (Grey box testing)
Preferred:
Automated testing of Flex/AIR/Flash/Actionscript
Experience writing "code that tests other code"
Flex unit testing with FlexUnit
Flex functional testing with Selenium integration
Work with developers to resolve test failures (including
Flex/Actionscript development)
